This is the CREATING WEBSITES FOR EVERYONE start page. You will find that we have prepared three types of presentation methods to this important "applying access guidelines" content. You may select from a text only presentation by clicking on text only links. Or you may select the Multimedia Presentation link. If your browser supports frames then you will be able to enjoy the full rich environment that we have presented. If not and your browser supports W3Cobject controls then you will be taken to a simpler video presentation. The video's have been programmed to auto-start as the page is opening. Whichever video format you choose please allow about 10 to 15 seconds for the video to start. The video content is streamed and written for 28.8 modem speeds.

Suggested browsers to enjoy Multimedia presentation:

To view the Multimedia link you will need a browser like Netscape Navigator 4.75 or Neoplanet or Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher. You may click on the Multimedia Presentation link and the Multimedia document will try and select the best presentation format for your browser. If you seem to have problems viewing content please review our help page. On our trials Opera 5.0 was not happy with the handling the functions of the Multimedia presentation. This could be because we had five browsers installed as mentioned above and there may have been a registry conflict. Still if you have success with Opera or any other versions that we have not mentioned please email success@computertelevision.com.au and let us know your operating system and browser name and version.

If you have issues with the Multimedia Presentation we would like to know about them email  issues@computertelevision.com.au please check out our help page first as it may help you over come those technical bugs. We will not be able to answer every question but we will try. This is a free service and we are not paid to provide  this additional service and we would appreciate your feed back.

The video has been optimised with HartStream(tm) for 28.8 kbps using the Microsoft Windows Media Player this is installed as the default media player for Microsoft  browsers Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher or can be installed by down loading it free from Microsoft corporation. The following table has links to download your appropriate player version. The Media Player does integrate with browsers Neoplanet, Netscape 4.75 or higher and Microsoft's Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher. I haven't tried the player on IE 3.0 or 2.0. A point about Opera it may or may not integrate I had trouble with it and don't recommend this browser for Multimedia rich content.

Microsoft Windows Media Player is available for these operating systems:

To get the best from this presentation you will need the Windows Media Player installed. The Multimedia Presentation has been prepared for a wide range of operating systems. Fire walls may hinder access see the help for more details.

If you are using a Apple Macintosh computer you will need to have the latest Windows Media Player installed. This is free from Microsoft.

The Department of Industry and Technology and The Disability Services Commission have cooperatively organised two very successful accessibility seminars in Perth. Key presentations at the seminars were given by W3C, the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission, and the Department of Conservation and Land Management.  This online version was filmed and produced by Computer TeleVision in behalf of the above mentioned organisations.
